German WW2 Henschel 33D, Heavy Truck


The important part of Wehrmacht motorization was the manufacturing of trucks. One of the most numerous of them was Henschel 33. It was in production lines from 1934 to 1942. 

Henschel 33 or Henschel Type 33 was a German medium three axle 6×4 driven cross country truck built in 5 series from 1928 to 1942. Co-produced under license by Magirus. Powered by a 6-cyl. 100 hp engine (10857 ccm, also with 9123 ccm diesel engine: model 33G1) driving rear wheels via 5-speed gearbox. Air-actuated brakes (Knorr) on rear wheels only. Leaf-spring suspension (inverted at rear). Tire size 7.25 20. Wheelbase 4300 mm (rear axles 1100 mm).
