Event Disclaimer

Wartime Productions acts solely as a coordinating body for this event on behalf of the primary Organiser, The Plough Public House. Please be advised of the following:

  • Limitation of Liability: Wartime Productions, its staff, and its agents are not the owners or principal organisers of this event. As such, Wartime Productions shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury, or unexpected changes to the event schedule or content.

  • Third-Party Responsibility: All responsibility for event safety, insurance, site management, and legal compliance rests entirely with the primary Organiser.

  • No Warranty: While Wartime Productions strives for excellence in coordination, we make no representations or warranties regarding the final conduct of the event or the actions of third-party participants.

By registering for or attending this event, you acknowledge that Wartime Productions is providing coordination services only and is held harmless from any claims arising from the event.


By registering, attending, or participating as a reenactor, living history participant, exhibitor, trader, vehicle owner/driver, or general contributor (collectively "Participant"), I agree to the following terms:


  • Assumption of Risk – Historical reenactments may involve loud noises, mock combat, pyrotechnics, animals, and other activities that carry inherent risks. You attend and/or participate entirely at your own risk.
  • All participants (reenactors, living history groups, exhibitors, or visitors) bringing or using any weapon—defined as firearms (including blank-firing), edged weapons, bayonets, or replica ordnance—must comply with this policy. Non-compliance will result in immediate removal from the event without refund and potential reporting to authorities.
  • FAC1 Proof of Certification: Participants in possession of FAC! Weapons must possess a valid Firearm Certificate (FAC) and present it to event organisers or safety officers if requested.
  • All weapons displayed are legally deactivated to UK Proof House standards and are incapable of firing. They are for historical display purposes only, in accordance with current firearm regulations."
  • All Realistic Imitation Firearms (RIFs) used during this event are strictly for historical reenactment, educational displays, and theatrical purposes.
  • Only non-convertible blank-firing imitation firearms compliant with the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (Specification for Imitation Firearms) Regulations 2011 are permitted.
  • Liability – The organisers, staff, and volunteers accept no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, except were caused by our proven negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • I confirm I have adequate personal/public liability insurance covering my participation (recommended minimum £2-5 million public liability for reenactors, exhibitors, and vehicle owners in the UK).
  • Personal Responsibility – You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of any minors in your care. Please follow all safety instructions and remain within designated public areas.
  • Vehicle Participants (Military/Civilian): All vehicles must comply with UK road traffic laws, DVLA regulations, and historic vehicle exemptions (where applicable). Drivers must hold a valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle. Vehicles must be in safe condition (brakes, steering, lights/horns where fitted, tyres/tracks, etc.). Event staff may inspect and refuse entry/operation if unsafe. Tracked/heavy vehicles may only move in designated areas with ground guides/spotters near crowds. No operation under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Speed limited to safe levels (e.g., walking pace in display/camp areas). Passengers must remain seated; no external riding. No reversing without a spotter/visibility. Park/drive only in approved areas as directed.
  • General Exhibitors/Traders: Displays, stalls, or activities must be safe, stable, and not obstruct pathways/emergency access. No hazardous materials without prior approval.
  • Photography & Filming – The event may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. By entering, you consent to the use of your image in such materials.
  • Health & Safety – If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please inform event staff before participating in any interactive activities.
