Wartime Productions at Walden are bustling with excitement as they prepare for the upcoming Walden at War event.
After months of collaboration with event organisers, a grand WWII spectacle has been meticulously planned for the July 4th-5th weekend.
Attendees can look forward to immersive re-enactments, fascinating displays, and engaging activities that bring the wartime era to life.
We will have living history encampments, military and civilian vehicles alongside WW2 model clubs and a selection of other wartime era displays.
Be part of this groundbreaking WWII living history event in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, offering vast spaces for encampments, impressive vehicle displays, and captivating demonstrations.
There will be a dramatic battle reenactment on both Saturday and Sunday,
and evening entertainment including a beer tent for the evening.
Groups and individuals who would be interested in giving talks and demonstrations, please let us know, as we are looking at timed events across both days.

We are actively seeking participation from various dedicated groups and individuals to make this event a resounding success.
We are looking for:
• WWII Reenactment Groups with Allied & Axis impressions for authentic encampments and battle reenactments.
• Owners of Vintage 1940’s Military & Civilian Vehicles to showcase in static displays and parades.
• WWII-Themed Civilian & Home Front Groups focusing on aspects like 1940s fashion, victory gardens, rationing demonstrations, swing dance performances, and period music.
• Enthusiastic vendors, demonstrators, and educators with a passion for sharing WWII history.

The host for Walden at War is The Plough, a grade II listed pub in King's Walden, Hertfordshire, which was saved by its community in May 2024.
The pub regularly hosts Classic Car Shows on its huge grounds with stunning countryside views and with possibly the biggest and best pub garden in Hertfordshire.
